There were two other Lerxst projects that were developed but not released. The first was a Lerxst pedal based around the preamp section of the Lerxst Omega, with an independent Solo Boost after the preamp. I had considered making this switchable for pre or post preamp. The pedal used JFETs as part of the design to achieve the organic sound and feel of the Omega. The biggest challenge with the design was capturing the feel and the roar of the Omega in pedal form. There’s something about the low end and the feel of air movement from a 4×12 cabinet. The original prototype was sent to Alex on the road but needed a few more tweaks before final approval. The last unreleased project was an updated “all-in-one Lerxst in a box” pedal that had two channels, delay, and a direct out with speaker simulation.
